Healthy Snacks & Meals For Kiddos
I get so many questions about healthy snacks/meals for kiddos, and for on the go at work so today I thought I’d list some of our faves!
Breakfast:
scrambled eggs with kale and tomato
organic oatmeal with cinnamon, flax seeds, slivered almonds and blueberries
smoothies (spinach, water or almond milk, frozen berries, grass fed or vegan (for me) protein powder, banana, and cacao)
Hard-boiled eggs, mashed with goat cheese, olive oil, salt & pepper
Lunch:
homemade chicken noodle soup (with chickpea or lentil noodles)
Organic nitrate free chicken strips with apples
Quinoa with mixed veggies, grass fed ground beef or organic turkey all mixed
Cauliflower or almond crust pizza with organic veggies
Snacks:
fresh organic berries
apples and peanut butter
grapes
kale “chips”
Fresh veggies and hummus/baba ghanoush (we love cucumbers & carrots)
homemade granola bars
gluten-free pretzels
Dinner:
Grass fed meatballs with zucchini noodles
Chicken with quinoa and veggies
red lentil pasta with meat sauce
baked wild caught salmon with salad
(vegan alternatives for me)
Dessert:
homemade sweet potato brownies
homemade oat and flax chocolate chip cookies (huge favorite)
coconut or almond milk ice cream (so many diy recipes)
UNREAL candy brand-in moderation
I’m sure there are more meals I make that I just can’t think of right now with my newborn mama brain But these are definitely most of our go-tos!
